Bringing roofing, doors, windows and gratitude to a deserving veteran
We are proud to continue giving back to those who have served our great nation though our partnership with Lifetime’s “Military Makeover,” a television show that provides home repairs to veterans. With American Pride serving as a company Core Value, ABC Supply recognizes the importance of lending a helping hand to our service men and women. We’re privileged to be able to show our gratitude for their sacrifices in this meaningful way.
Military Makeover will be recognizing the Tabora family in December, which marks ABC Supply’s fourth makeover in 2020. We provided roofing materials and new doors along with durable, low-maintenance and energy-efficient Norandex eXtreme Series 8000 windows.
After Corporal Jacob Tabora completed his first tour in Iraq, he was based as a tank gunner at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California. During his training there, a misfire malfunction occurred which resulted in second- and third-degree burns on the majority of his body.
Jacob was determined to persevere through his devastation. After five years in a burn recovery unit, Jacob completed his degree in criminal justice from the University of Texas–San Antonio, met and married his wife, Ceanna, and together became parents to three children.
“Jacob’s resilience and perseverance both during his time serving the Marine Corps and since his recovery are an inspiration,” said Mike Jost, COO of ABC Supply. “We’re proud to help give him and his family the gift of a renovated home as a thank you for their service to our country.”
The Tabora family’s “Military Makeover” season aired on Lifetime and the episodes are available to watch at https://militarymakeover.tv/.
